Where is Scotland?
Scotland is in north-west Europe and is part of Great Britain an island country ( See map ) and the United Kingdom (UK) .
Scotland is a mountainous country in the north of the island of Great Britain and shares a land border to the south with England and is bounded by the North Sea on the east and the Atlantic Ocean on the west. Its capital city is Edinburgh.
Scotland has some 790 islands - 130 inhabited.

Its fresh water lochs (lakes) – there are over 600 square miles of them. One of the most famous is Loch Ness where a mysterious monster is said to lurk in the depths of the water.
It is also famous for its clans, kilts, medieval castles, as well as poetry and songs of Robert Burns.
Theatre lovers from around the world come to Edinburgh for its famous theaters festival.

WORKSHEET 2: 
CHARACTERS IN THE FILM 


Jesminder (Jess) wants to be a professional footballer. Unfortunately, her parents have more traditional ideas about her future. She's really friendly, cheerful, active, sensitive and tolerant. 






Juliette (Jules) also wants to be a professional footballer. She plays for a women's football team, the Hounslow Harriers. She's really friendly, active, curious and cheerful.








Joe is the coach of the Hounslow Harriers. He used to play football, but a knee injury forced him to stop playing. He's really friendly, sensible, intelligent, tolerant and generous.












WORKSHEET 3: WHILE YOU WATCH

2.1: THE HOUNSLOW HARRIERS 
 

Exercise A: Put these events in the correct order.

1. Pinky has her engagement party.
2. Jules sees Jess playing football in the park, and asks her to join the Hounslow Harriers.
3. Je'ss mother sees her wearing shorts and playing football with Tony's friends, and tells her she's not allowed to play football.
4. Jess lies to her parents that se has a part-time job, so she can go out and play football.
5. Jess and Jules go shopping for football shoes.
6. Pinky's boyfriend's relatives see Jess and Jules laughing and hugging, and think she is kissing a man.


Exercise B: Who said what? Match the statement with the person who said it.

1. "I was married at your age". -- Jess' mother
2. "If she's more interested in playing football than chasing boys, well quite frankly I'm over the moon about that". -- Jule's father
3. "Your mother's right. It's not nice. You must star behaving like a proper woman." -- Jess' father
4. No boy's going to want to go out with a girl who's got bigger muscles than him". -- Jules' mother

Exercise C: Think about the expectations that Jess' and Jules' families have of them. Make lists of the things that hteir families and society expect girls to do. Make one list for both girls, and another list for Jess.

-They doesn't like that the firls playing football.
-Are expected not to play football.
-Are expected to enjoy shopping, to look nice, to find a boyfriend.

2.2: WILL PINKY GET MARRIED?

Exercise A: This section starts with Pinky's wedding being cancelled, because her future in-laws think that Jess was kissing a white man at the bus-stop. Her parents then forbid her from playing football. Put the following events in order.

1.The Hounslow Harriers go to Germany.
2. Joe goes to the Bhamra's house to try to persuade them to allow Jess to play football.
3. Joe and Jess almost kiss. Jules sees this and becomes jealous.
4. The Bhamras find out Jess went to Germany, and try to make her quit the team.
5. Tony tells Jess that he is gay.
6. Jess gets into a fight with another football player.
7. Jess' father sees Joe and Jess hugging.
8. The wedding is back on again.

Exercise B: Rewrite these paragraphs so they are true. There are three mistakes in each paragraph. 

1. Pinky blames her parents - sister because her wedding is cancelled. She tells her parents that Jess has - hasn't stopped playing football. They are very angry and tell her she can - can't continue to play.
2. Jules doesn't like Joe. In Germany, Joe and Jess fight - kiss.  Jules see this and is upset and jealous. Jules - Jess visits Jules house and they have an argument.
3. Pinky is very happy - sad that her wedding is cancelled. She persuades Teetu, her boyfriend, to talk to his friends - parents. Teetu's parents and the Bhamras arrange for the wedding to continue. Unfortunately, the wedding date is the same day as Jess' university exams - final football match.

Exercise C: Joe tries to encourage Jess not to give up. When Jess says that her parents want  to protect her by not letting her play football, Joe asks her "Whose life are you living?" What does he mean?

- He mean that she must do what their parents say not what she feel. He isn't agree.
- He mean wich life are you living or your parents life


2.3 THE FINAL MATCH 

Exercise A: Answer the questions:

1. Why does Jess' mother pray to the picture of Babaji?
2. How does Jess feel at the start of her sister's wedding?
3. Why does Joe go to Jess' house during the wedding?
4. Why does Mr Bhamra allow Jess to go to the football match?

Exercise B: What happens to these people at the end of the movie?

1. Jess and Jules - Friends and they went to USA.
2. Jules' mother - Finally be happy with her daughter
3. Jess and Joe - They kissed but now they are in diferent places in the world
4. Pinky and her mother-in-law - They were happy
5. Joe and Mr Bhamra - Finally were friends.

Exercise C: Atthe end of the wedding celebration, Jess is sitting in the car with her sister when her sister says "Don't you want all of this?"  ( a wedding, a husband, etc.). 
What does Jess mean when she says " I want more than this"? 

The think that she really wants is to become a football player.

SUMMARY

THE MAIN CHARACTERS: Kate, Luc, Charlie, Juliette.

Kate and Charlie were the typical Canadian couple, who wanted to be married, buy a new house and made a happy family.
Charlie must goes to Paris for work, he said to Kate: Come with me to Paris. But Kate was afraid of flight, so Kate stayed in Canada and Charlie went to Paris.
After two or three days , Charlie phoned Kate explaining that he had fallen in love with another girl, so he didn't want to came back with Kate.
Kate was sad, so she decided to take a plane and go to Paris.
In the plane, she met Luc, a french men, they talked all the flight. When they landed Luc puts a plant, whitha necklace, in Kate's bag while she was slept. Luc put this plant inside Kate's bag because the police knew Luc, and they knew that he is a thief, so the police would catch him and they revised his bag.
When Kate arrived in the same hotel as her husband, she asked to the receptionist what is the number of Charlie's room. The receptionist didn't say anything about the room, so Kate gave him 100 francs, the receptionist accepted the money, but he didn't tell the number.
Kate waits at the sofa for Charlie. In the sofa, she met a french man. When she saw Charlie, she fainted because Charlie and Juliette were kissing.
When Kate fainted, the man stole her bags, in her bags there were the passport, money, the clothes and the plant of Luc. When Kate woke up, Luc was there with her, and she was very angry about her bags. Luc ask her who was the man and how it looks.
After that they stole a car, and they went to the house of this man, who stole the bags of Kate. They arrived there, and Luc asked where the bags are, but he only wanted the plant, so he didn't insist for the passport and the money of Kate. Luc found his plant so Kate was angry because he didn't help her,she didn't have her things.
Kate says leave me, I don't want to know anything about you.
When Luc discovered that inside the plant there wasn't the necklace, he went immediately to look for Kate.
Kate took one train, to find Charlie and Juliette, because they were going on holidays. Luc found Kate and he tries to be very friendly to have the necklace. Kate was very tired so, she slept with the bag in her head, when Luc tried to catch the bag, Kate was dreaming and she thought that Luc was Charlie and she kissed him. Luc was really impressed about what happened, and he didn't tried to took the bag again.
In the morning, they went to have breakfast, Kate was lactose intolerance so she threw up and they stopped Luc town's.
They were visiting the city when Luc's brother appeared, Anotoine and he tapped him. After that Kate asked about what happened, who was the strange man. Luc explained to him, that he was his brother, and told her about his family.
They took the train again, when they arrived they went to the hotel, and Luc gave at the receptionist the credit card of Antoine. While Luc was doing that, Kate saw Charlie in the restaurant with Juliette and her parents. Kate was spying behind a column, she fell over of all the desserts and she did a lot of noise.
Luc and Kate were planning when they met each other again. The next day, Kate appeared behing Charlie on the beach, they started talking, but Kate was not at all concerned about the situation. So they decided to have dinner together.
Kate met Charlie, and Luc met Juliette.
Charlie staredt talking to Kate, and he said that, I want you, I love you. They went to dance and they kissed once, after that they went in Charlie's room, but Kate said stop. You broke up with me, you will be married soon, so it's finished. I have a dream, buy a house and have a family and I will do it. Charlie said, stay with me but Kate said, no, it's over.
Luc and Juliette were in his room, but Juliette tried to do something with him. But finally Luc didn't want to do it.
The next day, they decided to bring the necklace back to Cartier's. Kate entered there, and she met with the police, she returned the necklace, and the police gave her the money that she had in Canada for her new house. So Kate, gave Luc this check of Cartier and Luc thought that was the money of the necklace, Kate didn't tell him the truth. When Luc met the police, the police explained him his love story.
Luc declared his love for Kate.

Finally they went in Luc's town and they bought the vineyard and the house. They lived happily ever after.

Kate: Kate has short blonde hair, pale skin and blue eyes. She's not very tall and she's a small woman. She was the typical girl that wants the typical wedding, the typical husband, the typical house and the typical family. She's sensitive, lovely and scary. She is afraid of flying.















Luc: Luc was a thief. He didn't like love, it was the typical man that appears to be carried. But when he want, he can be the most romantic man. He’s so tall and big. He has dark hair, brown mustache, dark eyes and brown-pale skin.











Charlie: It's a man that was false, because in the film he framed Kate. It's a urged boy and amorous.. He has black hair, dark eyes and pale-brown skin.















Juliette: Is a selfish because she knew that Charlie was married to another girl and she didn't did anything, it's greedy and just think about her.

Kate-Juliette: 

Kate has got short blonde hair and Juliette has long brown hair. Kate has got blue eyes and Juliette has got dark eyes. Kate is smaller than Juliette. Kate is more simple person and ordinary, really nice and friendly. She's very kind and helps the other peopole, but Juliette looks like a friendly person but she is not so kind. In the film we don't know a lot about Juliette.


Charlie-Luc: 


Luc is a french man, and Charlie is from Canada. Luc is taller than Charlie.
Luc is taller than Charlie. Luc wear ugly and dirty clothes but Charlie wears more elegan.
